Many of us grow up believing that success is the finish line. Build the career. Earn the recognition. Check the boxes. But what happens when you reach those milestones—and still feel disconnected, restless, or empty?
In Episode 108 of The Lost & Found Podcast, I sat down with physicist, entrepreneur, and author Randy Lyman to explore a truth many high-achievers quietly wrestle with: success without emotional awareness doesn’t lead to fulfillment.
Randy’s journey bridges science, emotional intelligence, and personal growth—revealing how unprocessed emotions shape our reality and why healing them is essential for living with purpose. He is the author of The Third Element: The Missing Key to Activating the Law of Attraction which reveals the missing piece in manifestation that most people miss—your emotions.
Randy Lyman built multiple multimillion-dollar companies, earned patents, and led high-performing teams. From the outside, his life looked like a blueprint for success. Internally, however, something was missing.
Through decades of self-reflection and study, Randy discovered that emotional intelligence—not strategy or hustle—was the missing piece.
Unprocessed emotional trauma doesn’t disappear. Instead, it shows up as:
True fulfillment begins when we learn to feel, process, and integrate our emotions, rather than suppressing them.
What makes Randy’s work unique is his background in physics. He explains emotions through the concept of resonance—the idea that energy with similar frequencies attracts similar outcomes.
In simple terms:
You don’t need to fully understand the original source of an emotional wound to heal it. According to Randy, you only need to be willing to feel what’s arising in the present moment.
This perspective brings emotional healing out of the “woo-woo” category and grounds it in logic, awareness, and lived experience.
One of the most powerful takeaways from this episode is Randy’s reminder that you don’t need to live perfectly to be happy. Healing is not linear, growth is not tidy, and perfectionism often keeps us stuck. Letting go of the need to do everything right creates space for real transformation.
Practices like journaling, breathwork, and emotional reflection aren’t about fixing yourself—they’re about reconnecting with who you already are.
When you allow yourself to be human, imperfect, and emotionally honest, you begin to experience:
Randy also explores how emotional intelligence directly impacts leadership and relationships. In business and life:
He emphasizes that the people closest to us often act as mirrors, revealing unresolved emotions we’re being invited to heal. While uncomfortable at times, this awareness can transform both personal and professional relationships.
Another central theme of the episode is letting go—of toxic relationships, outdated identities, and rigid definitions of success. Growth often requires releasing what no longer aligns, even when it’s familiar or comfortable. Letting go isn’t failure; it’s an act of self-respect and trust.
For anyone feeling lost or stuck, Randy’s advice is simple but powerful:
Together, we explore:
Whether you’re an entrepreneur, creator, or someone searching for meaning, this episode bridges science and spirituality to help you reconnect with yourself and redefine what “being found” truly means.
